I don't know what happened to MTN, but whatever it is, i think they are having a lot of difficulty fixing it. Many people have been browsing free for some time and i just decide to share this tweak with those that are not aware of it.
without any airtime on your phone, you can activate the mtn 2015mb better me data plan, the 7.5gb data plan or even both. though this tweak might not work on all sims but it works on most new sim cards.
How To Activate:
To activate the 7.5gb plan just send 101 to 131
To check the data balance, send 2 to 131 or dial *131*4#
For the 2015mb dial *123*4*3*1# or send SPB to 131
Note that you can get more than 7.5gb on a sim by using sms bomber.
to check your data balance, dial *123*4*3*2#
That’s all, if you get any message like “ sorry, you do not have sufficient balance” just try it on another sim or preferably a new sim
Enjoy it while it last because mtn can block it anytime
